Dehydration is the term for your body’s reaction when you don’t drink enough water, resulting in a fluid deficiency. Chronic dehydration is a condition when dehydration recurs for longer periods, sometimes regardless of how much fluid you take in on a particular day.

CBS reports that while most people know perfectly well that water is the way to go, up to 75 percent of the American population fall short of the 10 daily cups prescribed by the Institute of Medicine – which, in medical terms, means that most people in the U.S are functioning in a chronic state of dehydration.

As of 1 January 2019, the population of the United States of America (USA) was estimated to be 330,377,563 people. This means that 247,783,317 people in the USA are not just dehydrated but Chronically Dehydrated! (More bad news: If you search online, you will find that this is a worldwide epidemic.)
